Briefing

Why this notebook exists.

Kerala does not need a generic list of climate fixes. It needs public work that stays close to place, power, maintenance and everyday life.

Three jobs

What this project is trying to do

  1. Name the climate-linked problems people are already living with — not just the hazards on a map.
  2. Compare practical responses from Kerala first, then from places with a real reason to be compared.
  3. Show what an idea needs to work: who owns it, who maintains it, who could be harmed and what to test next.

Editorial policy

The rules for saying something in public

A pilot is a pilot. A plan is a plan. Neither becomes proof just because it sounds promising.

  • Every consequential claim gets a source, place, date and limit.
  • People’s information, household risk and sensitive land or forest details are not public by default.
  • Every daily update passes source, privacy and editorial checks; consequential new claims still require human sign-off.
  • Corrections stay visible, with a date and a reason.
